Have you ever done something that was so scary that you felt your heart stuck in your throat?
Well I have and for the most part I keep my life living on that type of edge. Taking risks is an essential part to living.
The minute you stop taking risks, the wells of life inside of you begin drying up. That's why it's insanely important to keep those risks going.
I have a friend of mine who lives their life very much like this. She's always taking risks and is such a free spirit. I'm sure there are some that would say she needs to be more conservative, settle in and quit being such a wild card.
However I admire her. Her free spirit allows her to experience life in a much more vibrant way. I believe that many people live their lives in black and white. Yet those who choose to live life with one risk after another, are the ones who live life in color.
Confidence grows into super muscles as a result of taking risks. To me, as a woman, a man who is willing to take risks is crazy sexy.
Anytime I'd go on a date with a guy and he shared with me some sort of adventure he was embarking upon or a risk he had recently taken, it was always such a turn on for me.
Whether it was a risk in business, an emotional risk or that he pursued some adventure junkie dream of his, to me it was always enticing and wetted my appetite to be around men like this more often.
When a man is in pursuit of building his confidence, to go out and exude that confidence can be a risk in itself.
I remember when I was beginning to share with people that I was a Dating Coach, how terrified I felt inside. I knew their reactions would be one of suspicion and curiosity that I would feel the need to answer and explain.
It took me years to get comfortable sharing with people what I did because it's such an unorthodox path I had chosen. However each time I did it, it was a risk that came with the reward of building my confidence muscles.
Now when someone asks me what I do, I'm able to say it with an inner calm and I no longer feel like I have a frog in my throat. I'm so glad I continued taking the risk and pushed myself to not hide and to be proud of what I do.
The same goes for you. Every risk comes with the reward of experiencing a rich life, all while building those confidence muscles in the midst of it.
I can assure you that risks comes with rewards. Take the risks, get out there and talk to the women you're interested in. Take risks with your career, your education and your emotional journey.
You may be stretched, but you'll never regret the growth and the muscles you build along the way.
