How many Disney movies have you watched?
Chances are if you're like me, you've seen plenty of them. From Beauty and the Beast, all the way to Cinderella.
Now I'm going to venture to say that while we watched these movies filled with intrigue and hopeful expectation, we never wished this...
for our beloved heroine and hero to spend their lives alone.
That would be non-sense right? I mean the dream is to see these two who are plagued with conflict and fighting past destruction to eventually end in a place of loving harmony. Together.
Think about it, what if you watched Cinderella and you later found out that while she learned to love herself incredibly well, her and the prince decided to go there separate ways...alone.
Could we really be excited to see Cinderella living in her home alone, that is after she kicked that wicked step mom and hideous scoundrels we knew as her step sisters out? Or how exciting would it be if we saw Prince Charming ruling and reigning from the comforts of his palace all alone?
Let's be honet. There'd be a sense of disappointment. We all would be thinking "Really that's it? They're happy forever alone? They don't end up together?
I want to be sure that the message I share with my clients is always clear, the goal is to first and foremost come to the place where you love yourself and love yourself well. But if you're coming to me for dating coaching the goal is for you to meet your equal.
That the two of you live happily after after together, not happy forever alone.
