Navigating through the heart, wow, now there’s a tricky subject. While some may claim to know all the secrets of the heart, I must claim that as a fictitious declaration . More and more, you will find guru’s, advice givers, the likes of myself, on the topic of Love and Relationships. In fact, mark my words, you will continue to see more and more Guru’s on this subject coming out of the woodwork, even more so in the days to come.
Why you may ask? Because when it comes to matters of the heart and relationships, there is no simple ABC, 123 type of formula. We live in a society where we want answers and rightly so. Take a stroll through your local Barnes and Noble and you will find books to answer topics ranging from “Cooking” to perfecting your “Sex Life”. Spend some time on Google and you can learn “How to Sing” all the way to “How to Solve Physics Problems”. Answers are available wherever we look and we’re all on a desperate search to get things figured out. Precisely why you’re visiting my site and rightly so!
But while we are all looking for these answers, we must bare in mind that when it comes to matters of the heart, love and relationships, one “How to” that works for your girlfriend, may not work for you. ”How to Talk to Women 123″, may have worked for your co-worker, however, it doesn’t seem to be working out for you? Why is that you may be asking?
You see, we’re all built so differently! And thank God for that! Think about it on a practical level. If we were all built the same way, then why wouldn’t there be a “One Diet for ALL” book out there? There isn’t, instead we’re presented with book after book, as to how we should go about losing weight. The diet that works for your friend, may be detrimental to you. Currently I’m pursuing “Eating Right for my Blood Type” and while this may not work for others, it seems to be working well for me.
So if we look at our bodies as our example, we can then think on how differently we are not only built, but also how we also respond to those recommendations being presented. Now, if you can imagine something as vital as our heart being cared for and restored, then finding solutions for this significant wellspring that we all possess, will definitely require more intrinsic attention.
Our hearts, I am convinced, is exactly where we live out our lives. Whether that be for our good, or not so good. Our heart is a crucial part of navigating us through this journey we call life. But like our journey’s that we take from day to day, that we often so rely on our GPS to guide us to, so our hearts are in need of their own GPS system.
Let me really mess you up here. Our heart is the GPS system to our lives and desires, did you know that? However, this is the “mess you up” part, when we’re unaware or not familiar as to how to live out of our hearts, our hearts themselves need their very own “GPS” to guide them. A GPS, for your GPS. (GPS = Global Positioning System, or also known as “That device you name that sits on your dashboard that speaks to you and you often yell back at!)
When navigating through these precious hearts of ours, there is no simple ABC, 123 solution that you can wave above your head and poof, all is solved! ”Why did the marriage of 30 years abruptly end?” ”Why do you pick partners who put themselves before you?” ”Why have you been single for so long?” ”Why does dating seem to be such a difficult road for you?” ”Why can’t you get your lover to communicate to you efficiently?” These are major questions, that one simple “How to…” kind of book, will not solely be the remedy or key you’re in search of.
No the heart, relationships, love, dating… its a wild, beautiful mess and in the midst of navigating through it all, you will need a GPS. Perhaps it’s a book that has your answer, perhaps it someone’s story that you hear at the grocery store, maybe its the groundbreaking, solid, profound wisdom of Miss Arica Angelo, or maybe its the simplicity of a 5 year old who articulates it in such a way, that profounds your adult mind.
Whatever the case may be, do not give up, don’t stop searching and don’t become disillusioned when that self-help book doesn’t give you all the answers you need. This is a journey, stay on track and know that this journey is a continuous journey with no finish line in sight. So breathe, live and give that heart of yours a GPS to navigate you through!
