"You better find someone and quick!"
Do you ever get that feeling when it comes to meeting your future partner?
Wherever the pressure comes from, it you let it, finding that special someone can become a daunting path.
I've done it to myself and on a number of occasions. Let's just say more times than I care to admit.
It was a variety of reasons. My age, goals that I had made for myself like "I need to be married at this time." Or the holidays, or the pressure of everyone else around me having someone and the pain of loneliness.
So I would throw myself into overdrive of finding someone.
I started with the dating apps, because let's be honest, as a dating coach, I had the full advantage on the dating court.
So the dates would be lined up and I'd be on a date every night, on a mission to find my partner.
Guess what? It was frustrating and it wasn't fun.
I mean the whole reason why I became a dating coach was because I loved dating and I found it to be tremendous fun. But the pressure to meet my goals or to become like everyone else took the fun away.
When you put the pressure on yourself to find love what you actually do is block love. Why?
Because the pressure is derived from a place of fear.
What is fear?
The opposite of love.
Get focused, come in alignment on what YOU really want, but then go back to the simplicity of it all.
Dating is meant to be fun.
Goodbye pressure, you're not welcomed here.
