My heart has been opened quite largely this morning, like most Americans on this Thanksgiving day.
While I could relay a long list of all that I'm grateful for and mind you, that list would be incredibly long as I'm very blessed, there's one particular thing I am most grateful for.
Someone in my life today reminded me of all the people in my life that love me and I couldn't help but agree. Life has generously given me an abundance of people that love me well.
If there's anything my heart needs, it's love. When someone in my life takes the time to love on me, it's the most powerful and meaningful gift I can receive.
My most touching memories are ones of people loving me well. Taking the time to nurture my heart or just simply being there for me, are those life treasures that I always hold most precious and dear to my heart.
I'm very fortunate in the regards that I come from a family that has taught me what love really is and why it matters more than anything. With those beautiful lessons, I've been able to open myself up to become a very good receiver of love.
So when those life angels come to share their love with me, I've been able to open my heart wide and let all of that joyous love right smack dab in the middle of my heart.
Receiving love is one of those things I wish I could give everyone a dose of. While giving is significant, receiving is just as significant.
Let me challenge you today that as you're surrounded by those that love you, that you really open yourself up to a love encounter.
That you would allow yourself to be loved. And most importantly, that you take a moment to walk off and remind yourself that you are indeed loveable.
Hug yourself. Tell yourself you're special and whisper to your heart that it's worthy to be loved really well.
Happy Thanksgiving, from my heart to yours.
