In case you’ve missed it, today is Good Friday which means you still have time to make it a Good Friday! For most of us, we’ve all enjoyed planning out what we will do with our 3 day weekends and for some, 4 days. I don’t know if you’re like me, but I really and I mean really like having a plan. It’s even better when that plan works out!
So naturally I have had a pretty good idea as to what my weekend would look like, but a trip to the car dealership this morning had all of my plans turn into a big change. I received some not so good news and could find myself boiling to the point where the Latina “fire” switch was about to kick on, full throttle. I took a deep breath and said to myself “Listen Arica either this news can determine your day, you can get majorly pissed, go ape shit, or you can calm down, breathe and choose to hold onto your cool.”
I took some really deep breaths and told myself that I wasn’t going to let myself go into temper tantrum mode. I calmed myself down and set an inner resolve that I was not going to let what seemed like an unfortunate circumstance, kick my ass. It wasn’t going to dictate my emotions or perspective. So while I had planned for a Good Friday, the news I had received said the contrary.
Thankfully as I calmed down, the situation worked out and I was incredibly thankful and gave the dealership a massive shout out on my Facebook for being so superb about it all! That’s the the interesting thing about life, while we think we always have to live in reaction mode, responding to the fire balls thrown at us, it’s not the truth.
So you’re still single, so your boyfriend is being an asshole, once again your husband didn’t take the trash out, hold your cool. Screw it if everyone arounds you isn’t having a Good Friday, you’re going to have a fab one. Despite how pissed you are at your significant other, find it in your heart to forgive them. Don’t let whatever it is thats bothering you ruin your weekend. Choose love. Okay so you’re single again, or still single and it’s the Easter weekend you have to see all of your family.. still single. You have family that loves you and more important than that… YOU LOVE YOU!
Will you have a Good Friday, you damn straight you will, cause you’ll make the right choice
