I seem to be that person that has dropped my iPhone countless times and really should consider an OtterBox, I don’t though because its so bulky and fashionably not suiting. Dropping my iPhone on the street many times and even down a rain gutter, this iPhone of mine has been through it, yet it still remains strong for me and has not broken nor shattered. While thinking of the value of the OtterBox, it made me think what our hearts would be like if they came with an OtterBox.
My heart, like my iPhone has been through many drops, bumps, scrapes and bruises. Sometimes I wish there was an OtterBox around my heart so that I could go without the hurts that have come along with it, but unfortunately despite all that our technology has provided, an OtterBox for the heart is still not on the market.
Like my iPhone, my heart has remained resilient despite the heartbreaks it’s experienced. Past disappointments, hurts, lies and betrayal it still finds this ability to love and to be loved. Mind blowing if you ask me. The more I learn and experience love, the more I’m convinced in the power it possesses. I think our society portrays hatred, anger and unforgiveness as those forces that are unstoppable. We look at the person who is capable of shutting off their heart as strong, but the truth is they are cowards.
The person who is able to live out of their heart, despite the fact that it comes without an OtterBox, is the strong person. Their courage and strength is breathtaking. Their power is unstoppable. If you’ve been given the gift of possessing a strong heart like myself, then you have something to be incredibly grateful for. Take a moment and thank your heart for not being a wimp, for not settling and for having the tenacity to trust and believe in the power of love. Without a Heart OtterBox.
