Hey let's talk about one of my not so favorite words.
Growing up in church people used to always say "Never pray for patience." It didn't take a lot of convincing for me to adhere to this tidbit of wisdom.
However in matters of love, I've come to realize that while I may hate the idea of patience, regardless of my feelings, patience is most certainly required in matters of dating and love.
So many times I see singles, men and women alike, trying to rush the love department. Singles think "Hey I'm over being single, I'm ready to meet someone" and so they pursue dating with the premonition that the person they want should magically appear within seconds.
You know the microwave effect.
But cue in reality and it just doesn't work that way. In most cases, we should be happy that love and dating doesn't work when we think it should.
I look back at some of my relationships that I wanted to go towards marriage with and now as I look back, I thank God they didn't. Mind you, I would say all the men I've been in relationships with have all been spectacular, but at the end of the day we were the permanent wrong fit.
Let me give you this dating tip, in your pursuit as a single, remember that life really does want to serve you to make you happy and fulfilled. When it doesn't happen in the time frame you expect, just realize that patience needs to have it's way.
Trust me in the end it will work in your favor.
